PAL-UA Field Mission: From Community Support to the Football Field

Restoring health and renewing hope is our GREAT MISSION. Achieving it requires extensive knowledge and expertise in medicine, analytics, monitoring, and communication. That’s why we are committed to the path of continuous learning and professional growth. We believe in the concept of «lifelong learning» and regularly attend trainings, forums, and courses that help us expand our professional horizons and enhance our work.

Recently, our field monitoring officer, Svitlana Zaiets, participated in a training session on project proposal writing organized by the Health Cluster and WHO. A well-crafted grant proposal is more than just a document—it’s a comprehensive action plan, a compelling description of needs, and a detailed calculation of the resources required to implement change. It not only opens the door to funding but also helps the team structure ideas, set realistic goals, and build new partnerships.

During the training, we:

1. Explored a step-by-step algorithm for project implementation —from the initial idea to the final report for donors.

2. Learned how to write effective grant proposals, equipping our organization to attract more resources to provide high-quality medical services in hazardous areas.

3. Engaged with industry experts who shared invaluable insights into executing grant-based projects.

After this training, we looked at the way we have evolved from a group of dedicated volunteers scattered throughout Ukraine and abroad to an ORGANISED TEAM that successfully implements large-scale projects. At the same time, we identified areas for further growth and development.

We firmly believe that continuous education and partnership are the keys to greater effectiveness. We are grateful to everyone who believes in us and helps bring healthcare closer to those who need it most!

Special thanks to Health Cluster Ukraine and WHO for organizing this valuable workshop.

We were delighted to meet partners from Zdorovi.Agency, Revival Institute for Future, League of Modern Women, and Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF). Together, we can achieve more!
